These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a contract between SummaBook (“SummaBook”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and you (“you”, “user”) covering your use of our mobile applications, websites, and services (the “Services”).

If you subscribe to a paid plan, your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel in time via your app-store settings. Details below.

What SummaBook Provides

SummaBook offers concise text and audio summaries of technical books, a Key Insights view, and an “Ask AI” feature for Q&A about covered content. Feature availability may vary by plan and platform. The Services deliver original editorial summaries that transform and condense ideas from third-party works. They do not reproduce the works themselves. You agree not to use the Services to reconstruct, replace, or avoid purchasing/legitimately accessing any original book or audiobook.

Who Can Use SummaBook (Eligibility & Account)

You must be 13+ to use SummaBook. Minors may only use the Services with a parent/guardian’s consent and supervision.

Keep your login credentials confidential; you’re responsible for activity on your account.
Register with accurate, up-to-date information.

Free Accounts, Trials, and Subscriptions

We offer:

Free account with limited access.
Trials: occasionally available; some require adding a payment method and will roll into a paid plan unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Paid subscriptions sold via Apple App Store or Google Play using in-app purchase (IAP).

Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions renew at the end of each term unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends in your app-store settings. We don’t cancel for you

Prices & changes. Prices are shown at checkout and may change on renewal; your store will notify you where required.

Refunds. For IAP purchases, Apple/Google handle billing and any refunds per their policies.

Licence and Use Rules

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and access subscription content during your active term.

You may not redistribute, publicly perform, scrape, or create derivative works from our content, nor reverse engineer our apps except as permitted by law.

“Ask AI” and Generated Answers

“Ask AI” processes your prompts and related context to generate responses. AI outputs can be incomplete or inaccurate and are for information only (not legal/medical/financial advice). Don’t include sensitive personal data in prompts. We may use vetted processors to provide AI infrastructure.

Your Content and Feedback

Don’t upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or law.

Acceptable Use

Don’t misuse the Services (e.g., no scraping, bulk download, resale, reverse engineering beyond statutory rights, malware, harassment, or rights violations). We may suspend or terminate accounts for breaches.

Changes to Services

We may add, change, or remove features, and may discontinue parts of the Services. If a change materially impacts paid features, we’ll provide notice where reasonable.

Cancellation, Termination, and Account Deletion

Free accounts: you may delete your account any time from settings; we may also close inactive or abusive accounts.

Paid subscriptions: manage cancellation in your app-store settings
We may suspend or terminate for material breaches or unlawful use.

Warranties & Disclaimers

The Services and content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that content is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you (e.g., in-app notice or email) before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
